What was the motivation behind forming a band?
We wanted to be able to show the world our take on the music we know and love, and to have an impact and move others with our work. We are choosing to follow our dreams and our passions because it is what we love and has always been a shared lifelong dream.
What made you decide on hi fidelity as the band name?
We wanted a name that would describe both our music and who we are. Hi Fidelity, formally spelled High Fidelity, is a term used in the music and audio industry for high quality music. The term Fidelity also implies faithfulness, loyalty, and devotion- all things a band can’t do without.
Who are the members of the band?
Members of the band are Connor Wilcken (bassist/lead vocalist), Jake Anthony (guitarist/backing vocals), and Matthew Fauvell (drums).
What is your goal as a band?
Our goal is to make sure that you, as a listener, are satisfied with our music and are able to connect to it in some way. We want our music to reach as many people as possible to give them the opportunity to hear our work. It’s not so much about the attention- what matters most to us is that we are doing what we love and we hope to move others with our work.
iS your content mostly originals or cover songs?
Everything we are planning to release is purely original, and we are more than excited for you to be able to listen to it :)
